The menu board that sells for you.

Digital menu boards you run from your phone. Show the dish you want to sell while people are still deciding, and every screen follows in seconds.

  • Sell what earns the mostPut your best-margin dish and the meal deal built around it where the queue is looking, not on page two of a paper menu.
  • Change a price in the middle of servicePrices, sold-out dishes and deals go out to every screen the moment you publish. Nobody has to drive over with a USB stick.
  • Runs on the TVs you already haveOur small player plugs into the HDMI port on a TV you already own: no new screens to buy. The menu keeps playing when the Wi-Fi drops, so the wall is never blank.

Industry figures come from third-party studies of digital menu boards in general, not BlickDesk results.

An estimate, not a promise: assumptions and sources

Lifts on featured dishes: A DotSignage survey of 75 venues reported average lifts of 8-10% on dishes featured on screen (2025). Not a BlickDesk measurement.

Same-store sales growth during the screen rollout: McDonald’s US same-store sales, Q2 2019. The company linked the lift partly to its Experience of the Future rollout, which includes digital menu boards.¹

Payback in industry studies: That range is a published estimate for a single venue (Evergreen, 2026), not a BlickDesk measurement. Your payback also has to cover a one-off: the player, the installation and the setup. Work it out with your own numbers in the calculator below.

What one venue spends on printing: Evergreen’s 2026 estimate for a single venue, and where the calculator below starts. A drive-through chain is on a different scale: in Forrester’s TEI study for Samsung (2017), each venue saved about €26,000 a year on printing, so treat that as the ceiling, not the norm. The study is in dollars; every figure here is converted at €0.87 to the dollar.

Why BlickDesk, and how it works

An estimate, not a promise: assumptions and sources

Every default in this calculator traces back to a published source. The US studies report in dollars; those figures are converted at €0.87 to the dollar.

Sales lift, default 3%: set at the bottom of published ranges. McDonald’s reported average spend rising 3-5% after rolling out digital menu boards (Evergreen, 2026). The Howard Company cites an average increase in store sales of 2-5% (2025). A DotSignage survey of 75 venues found lifts of 8-10%, treated here as a best case, not the default.

Why not the 29-38% headlines: those lifts apply to individually promoted items, not to revenue across the whole venue. That’s why the default here stays at 3%.

Menu update costs, default €360 a year: operators typically spend €350-700 a year on menu reprinting alone (Evergreen). One printed backlit panel is about €85; changing a four-board set every quarter comes to at least €1,400 a year (WAND Digital). Each change cycle costs €175-260 in printing, plus shipping (The Howard Company). Staff time is counted at less than the EU average labour cost of €34.90 an hour (Eurostat). Set it to zero if you print nothing today.

The one-off, and why it’s not in the monthly figure: getting started costs money: the player, the installation and the setup from the price list, €225 at the settings you have now. You pay it once, in the first month, so it stays out of the monthly number above. The payback line is where the two meet: the one-off divided by what a month returns. It assumes the lift starts right away; if it takes longer to show, so does the payback.

Revenue, not profit: this calculator adds up extra revenue, not profit. What actually stays with you depends on your food cost, so treat the payback line above as the earliest case. The 3-9 months on the tile higher up is a published estimate for a whole venue rollout, not a recalculation of your sliders.

Beyond one screen

Every screen in the room, hour by hour

One screen is just the start. BlickDesk runs walls of screens as a single picture and switches what they show on a schedule you set once.

A video wall from the TVs you own

Several screens act as one canvas. In the drag-and-drop editor you lay video, menus and deals across the whole wall, then walk to the door and check that it still reads clearly.

Scenes on a schedule

Each screen keeps its own timetable: the breakfast board in the morning, lunch deals at noon, the evening menu after six. Set it once and it switches to the minute.

Food first, not food only

BlickDesk was built behind the counter, but a screen is a screen. It runs just as well in a shop window, a gym or a hotel lobby.

  • Cafés & takeaways
  • Bars & bakeries
  • Gyms & salons
  • Shop windows
  • Hotels & waiting rooms
  • Advertising screens

Pay per screen. Add more when you want.

Answers before you switch

Yes. Screens keep showing your latest published menu even if the connection drops, then sync automatically when it’s back.

Yes. Any screen with an HDMI port works. You just add our small player to each one.

No. BlickDesk never talks to your till, so it works with any POS, or with none at all. You change prices and mark dishes sold out straight in the app, from your phone or laptop, the moment the kitchen tells you.

Yes. Run your menu in Dutch, French, English or any other language, in any combination, so tourists and locals can both read it.

It depends on your plan. Standard and Service really are different. On Service you message support inside the app, a human answers, an engineer comes out whenever you need one, and your hardware is covered for as long as the plan runs. Standard is the software on its own: the install is a one-off you pay for at the start, and after that there are no engineer visits and no hardware warranty from us. If a player dies, you buy another for €50, plug it into the HDMI port, connect it to your Wi-Fi and your menu comes back on its own.

Yes. Each screen runs its own timetable, so the counter TV can flip to lunch deals at noon while the window screen keeps showing coffee all day.

The template for the 14 allergens in Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 comes with BlickDesk. Tick what’s in a dish and the allergen marks appear next to it on the board within seconds. That alone doesn’t make you compliant: national rules differ, and the venue stays responsible for what it declares.

Take a three-screen venue on Standard. €225 at the start for the three players, the installation and the setup, then €30 a month for the three screens. So the first invoice is €255, and every month after that is €30. All prices exclude VAT.
